September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

On this day, we honour the survivors of residential schools, the many children who did not return home,

and the families and communities whose lives and cultures have been damaged by the ongoing impacts of colonialism.

This day also serves as a reminder of the importance of reconciliation within our communities;

together, we can reaffirm our goal of repairing the legacy of harm done to Indigenous peoples.

May we reflect, learn, and grow in unity.

Today and every day.
