CUPE 4222 Graduation Award

 

 

It’s that time of year, again!

 

 

Do you have a child graduating high school this year? 

 

CUPE 4222 members’ children are eligible to apply for our Graduation Award in the year they receive their high school diploma

from any recognized educational institution in Canada

Please see the attached application for the CUPE 4222 Graduation Awards for the 2024-2025 School Year.

As part of your application you must submit a presentation, in the form of one of the below:

an essay

a poster

or an audio-visual clip

on “The Importance of Unions in Society” and please ensure to attach a Credit Counseling Summary.

All applications, presentations, and course credit summaries are due to the office by April 30th @ 4:00 pm, no exceptions.

Reminder: GMM this Saturday!

 

This is a reminder that we have our first GMM of 2025 on Saturday, January 18th at 9:30 a.m.!

The meeting will be held both in-person at the CUPE 4222 office, as well as online via ZOOM.

The ZOOM link and the meeting package will be sent out via email on Saturday morning around 8am.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

GMM this Saturday, December 14th!

This is a reminder that we have our December GMM this Saturday, December 14th at 9:30 a.m.!

The meeting will be held in-person at the CUPE 4222 office, as well as online via ZOOM.

A reminder email, including the link to the meeting and the meeting package, will be sent to everyone the morning of, around 8:00 a.m.

We will be holding an Ugly Sweater contest, as well as doing a draw for Woodstock Navy Vets tickets!

You won’t want to miss this meeting! We hope to see everyone there!

Reminder: Delegate Reports

All delegates who have attended any education, conference, or training session, must complete a Delegate Report.

This is in accordance to our by-laws, section 12.6, as stated below:

12.6 All delegates to education, seminars, conferences, conventions, jurisdictional or leadership meetings must submit a written report to the Secretary of the Executive Board, and where applicable, the Chairperson of the respective committee no later than three (3) weeks following attendance at said education, seminar, conference, convention, jurisdictional or leadership meetings. In the event that you have not submitted your report within the 3 weeks, then the Secretary will send you an email reminding you to submit your report and allow you a one (1) week extension. In the event that you do not submit your delegates report, you would lose privileges for 30 days, following the submission of your report, of any upcoming training or conferences. By not complying to these guidelines, an Executive member may ask you to provide a response to members questions about your failure to submit your delegates report. Copies of all delegates’ reports will be available at the next General Membership Meeting.  

It is important to note that if you have exceeded the allotted 4 weeks, without submitting your delegate report, you will be unable to attend any future
training, education, or conferences 30 days from the date of your report submission.
